Better manage challenges and build resilience in a comfortable and caring environment.

Schedule The First Session

Assessment and Treatment

Psychologists are provided specialist training in evidence based treatment and may assist in managing emotional, social and behavioural concerns. Common presentations to the clinic include low mood, anxiety, grief and loss, interpersonal challenges, bullying and family stressors. While therapy tends to be provided individually, at times family therapy is considered beneficial. During the initial assessment phase, information from parents, the young person and significant others is sought to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the difficulty and develop specific goals tailored to the individual and their family.

Please note that the clinic does not currently provide assessment and diagnosis for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Changes to Be Mindful Of:

Parents often have concerns about their child's emotional and behavioural development, particularly following significant life events. Stressors may result in changes in mood, behaviour, academic achievement and social functioning. However, changes can also occur in the absence of a specific stressor.
